Beyblade Wiki

Beyblade: Metal Fusion, also known in Japan as Metal Fight Beyblade (メタルファイトベイブレード, Metaru Faito Beiburēdo) in Japan, is the first season of the Beyblade: Metal Saga anime. It was succeeded by Beyblade: Metal Masters.

The series is available for streaming on Roku, Pluto TV, Tubi, Freevee, Peacock, Plex, Prime Video, and Vudu.

Summary

The series follows Gingka Hagane. a young Blader who is searching for his hidden past, together with his partner Storm Pegasus. On his training journey, Gingka stumbles upon Metal Bey City, where he meets new friends and rivals. Gingka intends to defeat the evil Dark Nebula organization and Ryuga, a man with the Forbidden Bey known as Lightning L-Drago.

Information

Development on a new mixed-media Beyblade project began in 2008, following the conclusion of the Original Series. This included both a manga and anime series.

The general plotline of the Beyblade: Metal Fusion anime is adapted from the first four volumes of the Metal Fight Beyblade manga. However, there are notable differences, including the exclusion of Metal System Beyblades, which are omitted or replaced with Hybrid Wheel System Beyblades. Furthermore, while Beys are gradually upgraded in the manga, in the anime, the characters simply swap parts or get an entirely new Beyblade.

The Beyblade motifs are based on constellations. Rather than the team battles that were prevalent in the Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, Beyblade: Metal Fusion features mostly individual battles.

In the English dub, Beyblades are now correctly referred to as "Beys" instead of "Blades", following the Japanese version of Bakuten Shoot Beyblade and Metal Fight Beyblade.
