Driger is the Thunder Spirit, one of the four sacred bit-beasts of legend, and the bit-beast of Ray Kon.

Driger096

Appearance[]

Driger is one of the four sacred bit-beasts, and based on the sacred White Tiger deity worshiped by the White Tiger Tribe (Fang Tribe in the manga series). It has the appearance of a muscular White Tiger, with green stripes with armor resembling blades on its four legs and its head and an armored tail. As keeping in the style the bit-beasts were drawn in the original anime, Driger was given a monochrome bright green color, reverting to its picture appearance in the second season.

Driger's appearance contributes to Driger's Fang/claw style attack rings which deal damage in swift barrages.

Power and attacks[]

Driger commands the element of Thunder, and employs a range of attacks utilizing electricity based attacks that deal in swift and precise damage, complimenting Ray's beyblading style. Often the opponent's beyblade after being defeated shows signs of being mauled by a tiger.

Anime[]

Driger was worshiped by the White Tiger Tribe (Fang Tribe in the manga series). Driger was given to Ray by the head of the White Tiger Tribe, over his grandson Lee, confirming that he would lead the White Tigers team. However, Ray left the village, with the intention of improving his beyblading skills, taking Driger with him. This act of betrayal would leave Lee and the White Tigers with a deep resentment, Lee in particular, given he viewed Ray as a brother and rival. Lee however let go of that resentment and appreciated Ray's skill after being defeated by Ray in the final match of the Asian Tournament, even going on to support him during the Bladebreakers' World Championship final match against the Demolition Boys.

Ray lost Driger twice during the original series, first when Driger left his beyblade voluntarily when Ray lost his confidence, and second when Driger was sealed by the Saint Shields, only to come back into Ray's beyblade, when they were battling the Saint Shields again.

Trivia[]

Ray often utilizes martial arts in his beyblading style, and Driger's attack pattern often mirrors that during their battles.
