Face Bolt - Libra

Main article: Face Bolt - Libra

The Face Bolt depicts "Libra", the seventh astrological sign in the Zodiac and one of the 88 constellations in space. Libra is Latin for "scales", and the design fittingly features balance scales with the word "Libra" below it. Some Hasbro releases, such as Thunder Libra DF145BS, omit this word and enlarge the scales.

Wheel - Libra

Takara Tomy's Libra is a circular Wheel with numerous small notches surrounding its perimeter. Libra has a very heavy weight compared to its contemporaries in the Metal System, which made Libra one a staple part for Defense combinations for many years since its release. With the release of the Maximum Series however, Libra became outclassed by the Twisted Fusion Wheel, and later by other Fusion Wheel releases. Prior to the release of the Maximum Series, Libra was the heaviest Wheel, and heavier than all Energy Ring and Fusion Wheel combinations.

There are four mold variations of Libra: the first mold was released with the initial prints of the debut BB-18 Booster Libra DF145BS, and is the lightest mold, weighing about 2 grams lighter than the other molds. Compared to later molds, the first mold has a more hollow underside overall, and is prone to breakage. The second mold was released in later prints of the BB-18 Booster and the BB-22 Bey Custom Set Stamina & Defense Type, which filled in some of the underside. The third mold was released in BB-25 Random Booster Vol. 2 Legend Pisces, and further addressed breakage issues that the previous two molds had by reinforcing the underside of four sections of the Wheel. The fourth and final mold was released in the BB-96 Beyblade Super Deck, 2 years after the initial BB-18 Booster. Compared to the previous molds, the protrusions next to the previously reinforced sections have been filled in and also reinforced, replacing the rugged underside with a smooth one. The result is increased recoil risk due to the smoother underside.

The performance of each mold varies between individual copies; some are slightly heavier than others, which would theoretically make them better suited for Defense combinations, while lighter copies would be more effective in Stamina combinations. This performance difference from this however is negligible. The more important factors will likely be breakage and the increased recoil from the fourth mold.

Spin Track - Down Force 145

Down Force 145 (DF145) has four upward facing wings protruding from the top of the Spin Track, which aside from giving it extra weight are meant to push air downwards. It is outclassed for use in Stamina combinations. Instead, Spin Tracks such as AD145 and 145 are used.

Performance Tip - Bottom Spike

Main article: Performance Tip - Bottom Spike

Bottom Spike is quite similar to that of Spike. Bottom Spike offers very little movement and as such gives no Attack potential. The pointed tip allows for very little friction between the bottom and the stadium surface, which helps prevent the loss of Spin Velocity. Bottom Spike has decent Stamina, but because the tip is so fine, it experiences the same balance issues that Spike does. Defense, Semi-Defense, and Wide Defense are much better choices.
