The first arc of the Beyblade: Metal Fusion anime series in season one doesn't have an official title. This arc is the first part of season one. The episodes are directed by Kunihisa Sugishima and produced by TV Tokyo, Tatsunoko Pro, Synergy SP and co-produced by Nelvana. The first Beyblade Metal Fusion story arc is twenty three episodes in length, and initially aired in Japan from April 5, 2009 through September 6, 2009 on TV Tokyo. Nelvana announced that it will air in Canada's on May 15, 2010 on YTV. In the US, Cartoon Network premiered it on June 26, 2010 and the UK premiered it on September 2010.

This arc has two '30 second' prologues before the Opening Theme.

  • Prologue 1: Episodes 1-13
  • Prologue 2: Episodes 15-23

The episodes use two pieces of theme music: one opening theme and one ending theme. The opening theme is "Metal Fight Beyblade" by Yu+Ki. The ending theme is "Boys ~hikari kagayaku ashita he~" by MASH. The arc was released on six DVD compilations, each containing four episodes of the show, except the final volume had three episodes. They were released in Japan from July 15, 2009 to December 9, 2009.

Note: Episodes are labeled by their series and their number, i.e. MF001: MF stand for Metal Fusion/Fight, 001 stand for the episode number.

What will be waiting for him at the peak?

The curtain has risen on the survival battle, that the winner will get one wish granted, sponsored by WBBA, which develops Beyblades as well as holds and manages tournaments. Gingka, Kenta, Benkei and Kyoya are participating of course, and Hyoma, Hikaru and the rest have also entered their names. Not long after the start, Gingka has won against five opponents and is having a good start when a mysterious boy appears who has already achieved ten wins in succession.

1000 participants have been decreased to 100 in a blink of an eye in this harsh survival battle. In the middle of a fierce battle, when Benkei has applied first-aid to Kenta’s injured arm, a boy named Yu calls out to them. He says he has no interest in a battle against an injured person, and guides Kenta and Benkei to the nearest medical facility.

Because Yu’s finishing move is an explosion, a flash of light and a shock runs thought the assembly hall. As Kenta, Benkei and Hikaru are defeated by Yu, only 4 Bladers are left. In order to have a one-on-one battle with Gingka, Kyouya challenges Yu, but his Beyblade Leone has taken some serious damage.

The winner, Yu’s wish, is to hold a tournament ”Battle Bladers” in which the best Blader would be decided by one-on-one battles. When the wish is granted and the tournament is about to be announced, Doji barges in. He declares that Dark Nebula is fixing the competitors!

Battle Bladers (2010)

The Battle Bladers arc (バトルブレーダーズ編?) is the second part of the first season of the Metal Fight Beyblade anime series. The episodes are directed by Kunihisa Sugishima and produced by TV Tokyo, Tatsunoko Pro, Synergy SP and co-produced by Nelvana.[1] This story arc is twenty-eight episodes long, and aired in Japan from September 13, 2009 to March 28, 2010.

This arc has two '30 second' prologues before the Opening Theme.

  • Prologue 3: Episodes 25-39
  • Prologue 4: Episodes 41-50

A second version of the first opening theme is used in this arc. The opening retains the same music, but some of the video has different scenes. The ending theme remains the same, and is also used in this arc.

This arc has released a total of four out of seven of its DVD compilations as of April 14, 2010. Each of them contains four episodes of the show. They were released in Japan from January 13, 2010.

In order to find an exceptional person to become food for Ryuga and L-Drago, Doji sends his Blader-subordinates in various tournaments. As such, he gets a report of Tsubasa Otori and his Bey, Earth Eagle, that have easily removed his subordinates in a battle royal. Doji gets interested in Tsubasa immediately and orders an investigation, but the Tsubasa in question goes to infiltrate the Dark Nebula’s headquarters.

Hyouma, who has advanced to the finals in the WBBA’s sponsored challenge match at the mountain stream stage. As he’s waiting for his opponent, Yuu, who isn’t in the competition, comes to challenge him. At the same time, the forest stage’s winner, Kenta, suffers from Tsubasa’s attacks, who has become Dark Nebula’s subordinate.

When Kenta and Hyoma get out of trouble, Gingka is fiercely attacked by Reiji. Unable to even counterattack and while the signs of defeat become tense, the color of Gingka's eyes change due to a single word uttered by Reiji, "terror". Gingka fears not of Serpent's overwhelming power, but rather not being able to fight in the final. Seeing his own goals in a new light, he finally launches a counterattack

Ryuga appears to erase Gingka using the Dark Dragon's power. At that time, when it seemed as though his Dark Spin Move exploded, Kyoya, Hikaru and Tsubasa's feelings and bonds protect Gingka. Then Gingka, not held down by force, and with his Bey-loving spirit, releases Ryuga from the Dark Dragon with the intense Blader spirit and realizes that he will win for certain.
