This article is about the Takara Tomy release. For the Hasbro release, see Dark Gasher CH120FS.

Mad Cancer CH120FS (マッドキャンサーCH120FS, Maddo Kyansā CH120FS) is a Balance Type Beyblade that appears in the Beyblade: Metal Fusion anime. It is owned by Tetsuya Watarigani. It is later remodeled by Dark Nebula into Dark Gasher CH120SF. It was released by Takara Tomy as the prize Beyblade of the BB-31 Random Booster Light Vol. 1.

Face Bolt - Gasher

Main article: Face Bolt - Gasher

The Face Bolt depicts "Cancer", the fourth astrological sign in the Zodiac. Cancer is one of the 88 constellations in space, and is depicted as a crab. The word "cancer" is displayed above the crab motif.

Cancer was renamed to "Gasher" by Hasbro for its releases. Accordingly, the word "cancer" was removed from the design, and the crab motif enlarged. Several spheres were also added to the background.

Energy Ring - Gasher

Gasher (or Cancer) is a round Energy Ring with a design representing crab claws. The slopes of the Energy Ring, and its heavy weight, give Gasher use in Defense Type combinations. The Takara Tomy version has the word "Cancer" written on the slopes - the Hasbro release of Gasher removes this.

Light Wheel - Mad

Mad
Main article: Light Wheel - Mad

Mad is the Light Wheel version of the Dark Fusion Wheel. The design is similar, but unlike Dark, which has twelve spikes facing the clockwise direction, the twelve protrusions of Mad are closely packed together with minimal space between each, resulting in a round shape. Such a shape hinders the Light Wheel in two ways: its protrusions are not pronounced enough to provide sufficient Smash Attack, while the perimeter is interrupted too frequently for sufficient Stamina. Additionally, its weight is distributed over too large a surface area.

Like other Light Wheels, Mad uses plastic instead of metal, reducing its weight significantly. As such, Mad is prone to breakage when used in battles and should be considered as a collector's item only.

Spin Track - Change Height 120

CH120
Main article: Spin Track - Change Height 120

Change Height 120 (CH120), as the name suggests, is a Spin Track with a height change gimmick. The height can be switched between 120 (12.0mm) and 145 (14.5mm) by pulling/pushing the central part out/in, and then rotating the bottom portion back to lock the height. Importantly, this can be done between each round of a match, as it does not involve any part-swapping.

The most obvious advantage is allowing the Blader to change the height of their Beyblade between rounds; this means that the Blader can adapt their strategy to counter their opponents during a match. In addition, Change Height 120 is the only Spin Track with the 120 height, which is useful in Attack Type combinations.

However, some copies of CH120 will actually fall apart or break if hit on 145 mode with too hard of an impact. Despite this, unlike TH170, this is usually fixable by simply locking the parts back into place.

Performance Tip - Flat Spike

BottomFlatSharp
Main article: Performance Tip - Flat Spike

Flat Spike (FS) or Flat Sharp, features a flat tip with a smaller, sharper spike tip in the center. As a result, when launched at a straight angle, the Beyblade spins on this spike tip, with very little movement. However, when the Beyblade is tilted, either from contact with an opposing Beyblade or from the launch, the Performance Tip moves in an offensive pattern. However, it suffers from the same problems as other Balance Type Performance Tips, in that the two qualities are compromised, resulting in mediocre performance in both fields.
