Pirate Orochi 145D or Pirates Orojya 145D (パイレーツオロジャ145D, Pairētsu Orochi 145D) is a Water Element Stamina Type Beyblade that appears in the anime and manga series Beyblade: Shogun Steel. It is owned by Eight Unabara. It was released as a Starter (BBG-08) on April 21, 2012 in Japan, and later in western countries as a Starter Pack (SS-08).

Shogun Face Bolt - Orochi

Orojya

Orochi depicts "Yamata no Orochi", or simply "Orochi"; the mythical 8-headed and 8-tailed dragon. Its design is three snake heads, side-by-side, are glaring at the front. Each snake features reptilian scales and reptilian eyes; all white with no visible pupils. They also have two sharp fangs nearby. The snake in the center curves to the right, in a slithering such manner; while the remaining two are parallel to one another. All three snakes are purple with a yellow color covering the cut, gaps, and everywhere else in the detail. It is all outlined in a thick black whilst on a Metal Face Bolt.

Warrior Wheel - Orochi

This Warrior Wheel consists of a ring circled by multiple snakes. These engraved serpents create small protrusions all around Orochi, like a gear. Following the characteristic of all Shogun Steel Beyblades, Orochi has a hole for the Element Wheel's orb to protrude into, and two snake heads encase it from each side with their fangs. Some swirly designs exist in the inner part of this Warrior Wheel, all the way down to the opposite side of the crystal, where a menacing face is formed. Made to resemble a snake's head in a front view, two evil eyes are engraved as well as small fangs near the edge of Orochi, and that big head's apparent mustaches are prolonged to become the many small serpents encircling the rest of the Warrior Wheel.

Element Wheel - Pirate

The Pirate Element Wheel mirrors the Orochi Warrior Wheel in size almost perfectly, which gives Pirate Orochi 145D more Stamina in the Cyclone Stadium. It depicts many different etchings related to actual pirate. On it is shown a skull, the ocean, a tentacle of a sea creature, and a mast of a ship. It is translucent blue in color.

Spin Track - 145

145, along with its variants (Claw 145 (C145), Down Force 145 (DF145), etc.), was once the highest Spin Track available, until the 230 Spin Track was released with Flame Byxis 230WD. 145 can be used in Stamina Type combinations to great effect due to its tall height, which allows for more wobbling as the Beyblade loses its spin velocity. However, gimmick-paired Spin Tracks such as Boost Disk 145 (BD145) have immensely outclassed their original basic variant, as have several taller gimmick Spin Tracks, especially against heavy, mid-height Attack customisations. Even in stamina battles, 145 does not offer enough balance: Spin Tracks such as Armor Defense 145 (AD145) and Wide Defense 145 (WD145) provide a good center of gravity, and aid with a slight downforce to maintain stability.

Performance Tip - Defense

Defense (D), as the name implies, was the first Defense Type Performance Tip released in the Metal Saga series. Defense is similar to Spike, but is wider. Compared to the Stamina Type Spike, Defense actually has superior Stamina capabilities, with less recoil and more recovery. However, the added friction from the wider tip causes the Beyblade to lose Stamina during recovery.

Trivia

  • In the original Japanese TV airing of the anime, Orochi's Spirit design has eight heads, with a ship as its main body. This design was based on the original settei designs. In the DVD and international dubs, the Spirit was changed to a humanoid snake dressed as a pirate, wielding snake-like weapons. The skull and crossbones on the pirate hat have also been removed.
