Energy Ring - Leone I[]

Leone I is a round Energy Ring that consists of a six-segmented design with two repeating patterns: three segments have a smooth armor-like pattern, with the other three have a rougher design with gaps between small ridges. Leone I features camouflage stickers for its detailing. Its round shape gives it use in Defense and Stamina Combinations, which Leone I initially found success in.

The light weight of Fusion Wheels compared to Synchrome Combinations and their larger diameter (which makes Leone I's raised design disadvantageous and removes the benefits of its side angles) has lead to Leone I being outclassed by lower profile alternatives such as Cygnus and Gasher. Despite this, Leone I remains a usable if somewhat outclassed option for Combinations utilizing the Duo Fusion Wheel.

Leone I has returned to prominence in the WBO's MFB Limited Format on low Track Defense Combinations thanks to its smooth shape and rounded sides. When paired with certain Fusion Wheels such as Bakushin, it creates an uninterrupted graduation and smooth sides that are difficult for an opponent to grip onto. Leone I enhances the Defensive capabilities of low Spin Track Defense Combinations more than heavier Energy Rings such as Aquario, and this outweighs the advantage of any Destabilization offered by Bull or Gasher.

Fusion Wheel - Thunder[]

Thunder is meant to be a Fusion Wheel version of the Metal System Libra Wheel. It features a similar round design, with small indents to form the shape of scales. Its usage however is limited; in Defense Type combos, it is outclassed by thicker Fusion Wheels with the same shape, such as Twisted, and heavier Fusion Wheels such as Duo. Due to its round shape, Thunder has no Attack potential whatsoever, and even its Metal System predecessor Libra, is more useful for Stamina Type combinations.

Spin Track - Gravity Ball 145[]

Main article: Spin Track - Gravity Ball 145

Gravity Ball 145 (GB145) is a wide, round Spin Track with two free moving metal balls. These balls move towards the outside of the Spin Track while spinning, causing additional spin retaining force. While the Spin Track is relatively heavy due to the inclusion of the metal balls, it has been outclassed by later releases of Stamina Type Spin Tracks.

At release Gravity Ball 145 was seen as inferior to Claw 145 (C145), due to the lack of energy-absorbing free spinning wings, making it not as effective against low attacker Beyblades, which were popular at the time. Gravity Ball 145 later found use in Defense Type combinations against Change Height 120 (CH120)-based attacker Beyblades. These types of attackers do not aim to hit the Spin Track, and thus the free spinning wings of C145 are not necessary, and instead a Beyblade could be given a significant increase in the overall weight of the customization. However, it has been outclassed for Defense Type customizations by Spin Tracks such as Boost Disk 145 (BD145).

Performance Tip - Bottom Spike[]

BS
Main article: Performance Tip - Bottom Spike

Bottom Spike is quite similar to that of Spike. Bottom Spike offers very little movement and as such gives no Attack potential. The pointed tip allows for very little friction between the bottom and the stadium surface, which helps prevent the loss of Spin Velocity. Bottom Spike has decent Stamina, but because the tip is so fine, it experiences the same balance issues that Spike does. Defense, Semi-Defense, and Wide Defense are much better choices.

Trivia[]

  • Thunder Leone has the same GB145BS combo as Earth Virgo GB145BS.
